কাহাক পাবলিশারস থেকে প্রকাশিত "প্রান্তিকথা" বইটি হাতে পাওয়ার পর বেশ কিছুটা সময় কেটে গেছে। বিষয়বস্তুর অভিনবত্ব আমাকে এই বই-এর প্রতি আকৃষ্ট করেছিল। বলাই বাহুল্য নিরাশ হতে হয়নি। গোগ্রাসে পড়ার মত এই বই নয় বরং গল্পগুলি তারিয়ে তারিয়ে উপভোগ করার মত।এক একটা গল্প পড়েছি শুধু বলা ভুল হবে যেন চোখের সামনে ভেসে উঠতে দেখেছি আদিবাসীদের জীবনযাত্রা। আবার পরের গল্প শুরু করতে সময় লেগেছে। কারন আচ্ছন্ন হয়ে থেকেছি সেই আদিবাসীদের জীবনধারায়। দেশ কালের গন্ডী ছাড়িয়ে লেখক লেখিকারা আমাদের ভ্রমন করিয়েছেন,শব্দ দিয়ে ছবি এঁকে। অনুভব করিয়েছেন আদিবাসীদের সুখ দুঃখ, অসহায়তাকে,তাদের গোষ্ঠীর নিয়মনীতি পালনের বাধ্যবাধকতাকে। মোট বারোজন লেখক লেখিকার লেখায় সমৃদ্ধ এই বই, অনবদ্য বারোটি গল্পে সাজানো প্রান্তিকথার সূচিপত্র।
